BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

Here are pics of izzy's new home it took me a little under 10 hours to build(glue drying) it's ,made of poly plastic panels that have wood particals in (for strength) and a plexi glass front.Also i just added a 5" fan for airflow while the lid is shut. The dimenions are 4ft long bye 2ft deep bye 2ft tall. also some pic of during contruction.

thanks guys i built it for under 70 bucks(without the fan,switch and battery) too really easy to build too. And do you guys think that a 10.0 coil UVB is strong enough? i know that most of you prefer the strip ones but i like the coils cuz i can use them around the house when there no longer good for my herps!

I would go for a tube and expose the length of the enclosure to UVB. Just my humble opinion.

There are as many fans of the compacts as there are for the tubes, you pays your money and you makes your choice.

has anybody thought about having like a passage for a skink to go through to go between two cages each for like a different setting or like a basking side or like a lounging or play side???

The 10.0 is fine, just keep an eye on his eyes for burning.

The scales around the eyes would look dry and maybe cracked.Silimar to humans chapped lips.
