Peyton is shedding - I'm not as freaked out as I thought I would be - just hope it goes ok ! So give it a few days I read then if its not all off give a warm bath? She looks uncomfortable shedding poor baby ! Its coming off in little pieces - do you think there is enough humidity in the tank?

Do you have a humidity gauge in the enclosure? It should tell you what the humidity is. My Sammy does fine with 40% around shed time but I also put a tissue box of wet paper towels in there for her to dig around in and get hydrated. That is what brings my humidity up...

I always offer my guys a humid hide, or mist heavily during shedding time, and I have never had a poor shed. However, since yours isn't a tropical species, I would just provide a humid hide.

Things went very well ! She looks so smooth and shiny! They are smart - she used mostly the log hide and the fake ivy to get it off - I just cleaned it out and put a new layer of bark - there is just a little piece on her head but her feet and tail did well! I had no idea she was going to shed until this AM and we found it - she is so cute!
Thanks for all your support I just LOVE this forum !!!

Her parents are good shedders too, but most babies are -- hope she continues to shed well!

sounds good! i think for most just a big water dish is good enough for humidity, but its good to keep an eye on her, show us how she looks after the shed!

You're lucky it went so well. Pryce and Wocket have great sheds, and they look so pretty afterwards. Trikks on the other hand has retained shed that I'm just getting off, and it did some slight damage to his mouth. It already looks better though, so I think he'll look 100% next shed.

We need pictures now!
