The Kei has arrived.

Well the Kei I purchased came today. A little thin IMO, long toe nails and to top it off, mites. Its very disappointing. It does have an awesome temperament though, which makes up for all the bad husbandry. I will get pictures sometime, just want to concentrate on the mites for now and dont want to stress him anymore than I have too. He already accepted a meal, got his nails trimmed, and he is now soaking to help with the mites.

Yay! I can't wait until he's all settled, mite-free, and ready for pictures. Does he have a name yet? Congrats!

No he doesnt. Im open to suggestions lol. Im horrible wtih names, but eventually I will think of one. He does have an awesome temperament though.

That is a very good possibility. I just like to stay positive and think that he is going to be the sweetest Kei ever lol.

I am not sure if the mites were dead or not as after I soaked him, none of the mites that I pulled out from under the scales were alive. Maybe they did drowned, but I am not sure. But he did get a nice rub down with Reptile Relief as well.

nio nio nio and nio a pet needs an original name nuthing less! lets see mine is bluetooth XD computer technology lol hum lets see hum a nutral name since no clue as to female or male @.@ erm...(i could get ya tons of nice japanese alike names hahahahaha)

after looking at kei pics i came up with these:
-Silfrite
-Flamey
-Efreet
-Charcoal XD haha they look fire alike sorry
-Smellymander!(joking XD had to say that sorry rolf)
-Slitherin
-Hissi (if it hisses lol)
-Rascal (if it ends up having a nasty temper @.@)
-jalapeno XD (if its hot red)

I have the new guy in a different room and have already rubbed him down with Reptile Relief and sprayed the cage with Provent-a-mite. So hopefully no one else picks them up. I would be very upset. I went back to look at the sack he came in and it was COVERED with mites! Its so frustrating. I have emailed the seller about it.

Yes I am up to 4 blueys now! I never imagined I would have that many. I am done for quite some time now. Need to start purchasing the cages from glasscages.com now. I just have them in a temp. quarantine cage now (everyone in their own of course).

Awwww ... he is darling. I am suggesting the name Cupcake. I think it suits his sweet face. Maybe a sweet name will affix the disposition he arrived with. Couldn't hurt right?

I'm gonna say Dry Bones, Stub, Pan, or Keiser. He looks very cute, congrats! I hope he stays a sweety. Good job with the mites, but seeing as the place obviously didn't have the right care, I'd suggest a vet visit, or a fecal at a minimum.

I will def having a fecal done, especially since he is thin. His body is about as wide as his head. So want to make sure intestinal parasites arent the reason for being thin.

I think I am going to name him Cooper, because it is close to copper, which his color reminds me of.
