These ones are from the area around my house. I see them all the time, picking them up and examining them at my leisure ....

The cocked head is sooo cute! Well, they all are ^.^ You're so lucky to have em all over, and at your house. Lucky bugger. Great shots! The tongues are neat.

I think they were referring to the Skinkies looking much like the beautiful little turds that they are. . I would love to find those in my yard!
All these shingleback posts made me dream about 'em all last night. . . Sigh. . .I love them! I wish they'd get to making babies on this side of the world! :)

You guys make me want them so much more, just so I can get em to forum members and make everyone happy. I too thought they looked odd and too bumpy at first. Now I love em. Not as good as a tanny, but still awesome.

I wasn't keen on Shinglebacks either, until i met one. Now i got mine and im glad i did. They are great pets and in my opinion better than my bluey. They say blueys are great for kids and thats true but i reckon Shingles are better because one, they don't run as fast as a bluey so easy for a child to keep their hands on and 2 mine have never hissed at me or tried to bite....unlike my bluey nor does he (spike) ever run away or hide when i go to pick him up. (Rocky is a little different) Shingles are very gentle and docile which makes them a great first lizard for a kid. I recommend you all get one! Well i wish you could as easily as we can!

Kris
