2:1 Calcium/Phosphorus Supplement w/ vitamins
I picked up a vitamin supplement with 2:1 Calcium/Phosphorus. It says it is a Herbivorous Reptile Formula. I thought I got the right thing but i just recently read on another site to supplement bluey's with a non-phosphorus additive.
What is the main consensus with this? Will Phosphorus harm my BTS? Or is it just not needed in their diet?

Very well put.
Phosphor in general binds calcium and makes it so reptiles and other animals cannot receive the benefit of it. Which is why the ratio of C higher than P is essential. That's the whole reason many keepers have kept good lists of the foods that are higher in calcium, to help balance this issue out. Hence our fine food charts.

I like this stuff for calcium, green label Rep-Cal:
http://www.reptilesupply.com/product.ph ... cts_id=119
It's 100% calcium (not the stuff supplemented with d3 you usually see). A vet recommended it to me because there are no worries about overdoing the d3 if you are also providing uvb lighting.

No, I wouldn't throw it out, I would just make sure you have a higher Calcium to Phos. ratio food to put it on. Or you could maybe return/exchange it for the right kind if it hasn't been opened/used yet. . . or. . . you could always buy another lizard that you could use it for. . .

Well, I usually put it on dog food and vegi's/fruits if I don't have any calcium rich foods like collards. It sounds like it doesn't do as much good as I thought it would.
I'm going to do a search for Rep-Cal and order it online. I don't dare go out in the shopping centers this week before Christmas!
Too many people for me...
By the way, the idea about another lizard sounds promising...
