Portland Oregon Reptile show

Postby Dragontears » Sat Jan 12, 2008 4:09 pm

Is anyone going to this? It is on the 26th of January? It's small, but I'm still going and I was wondering if I'd see anyone there.

I am thinking about it, but its a four hour drive, and the snow has been soooooo good lately, I've been spending all my free time in the mountains!
I would love to meet some peeps from this site in person though. . . Sigh. . . what to do. . .
The only other problem is, coming away with more lizards! (Do you think there'll be a shingleback there?) Tony's at his limit with me now, but he understands that I really love shingles and want one uber muchly.

there hasn't been a shingleback there before. If you're going to drive that far, I'd wait for the show next month. It is bigger and much better.

Hey there, I think you're getting Portland Maine confused with Portland Oregon? We're about 5 or 6 hours away from New Hampshire by airplane depending on tail winds, and airports . By driving, I'd say 2 or 3 days depending on the weather in the Rockie Mountains! :D

I won't be at this show since I have a class that runs all weekend, but I will be at Hillsboro, probably on that Saturday. Renee, will you keep an eye out for pygmy leaf chameleons? I'm looking for a couple females. Thanks!

If anyone *does* ever see shinglebacks at a reptile show, please, Please, PLEASE get the seller's name and contact information and let us know!

Not just shinglebacks for sale -- it would also be helpful for us to know who is breeding, or even *keeping* them.

Thanks!

I always keep an eye out, but I don't expect anything at this show. It is a lot smaller than the one next month so if a dealer can only come to one show, it will be the big one in February.

I second that for any show that others may go to! The options are very slim and often not good...though any stumpy is a good stumpy for me right now! ;)
