Generally, you dont have to worry about UVA. It is given off by both the UVB bulb as well as the heat bulb.

UVA is for helping your BTS feel/act/live naturally. It helps them behave more like they should.
UVB is for processing calcium and preventing MBD.

Your skinks should have both. I believe most UVB bulbs also give UVA, but no guarantees. Check the facts on the reptisun, and wait for other comments.

Personally, I wouldn't buy the specific UVA bulb, I would instead take your BTS outdoors as much as possible to get natural UVA/UVB. If you can take your skink outdoors through most of the year, you may not need a UVB bulb. I need one, as my guys only get about half the year outside.

Dont worry about UVA,just supply a UVB source,I like the tubes, with a reflector, because they spread the light the lenght of the tank, and there's no burning danger, compacts have had a few issues with them.

UVA is produced by both UVB bulbs as well as regular incandescents.
