:D Im new to blue tounged lizards(as theyre called here in aus)and was wondering how to tell what sort of lizard he/she is and what sex(I know its hard but are there any dead giveaways?) oh and is it normal for BTS to like bananas?

:welcome: !!! Looks like an Eastern to me- mine has some orange/pink colouration on his belly...sorry i don't know about gender! Yes, most blue tongues LOVE banana, they go well bananas for it! But don't feed it too often, as all the fibre can 'block them up'. Read the caresheet, it will answer almost all your questions!

Looks Eastern to me too. Too soon to tell gender. Check the care sheet for details on gender identification and anything else under the sun you need to know (thanks to Zach). Congrats on your baby and :welcome:

:btsnet: From the pictures I'll guess an Eastern,do you know if it was from a breeder or a wild caught rescue? the belly colour is average (some have more,some less)Looks in good condition with a nice pattern, if you can read the caresheet here(heavy going) it does hold a lot of great info, there's also a section of foods with a chart on how good or bad a food is for your new mate. Do you house him indoor or outside in a pit and how old is he,he looks 1yr+, You've sorted out the first rule already :ryo:

Welcome to crazy town! What an adorable little bluey. My blueys LOVE banana. It's not a nutrition-packed food, so only use it on occassion.

Googler, your skink kind of looks like mine so i'd say Eastern..
But a close up picture would be nice and maybe if it was bigger,
