Alright I found a place to buy one, now I have onelast question. I've done all the possible research i could in the past 48 hours and the onlyquestion I have left is what I should feed it. It says 60% vegies and 40% meat based. So I get the whole cricket meal worms and all that because i have a bearded dragon. But what type of veggies. My best guess is everything you can that is more nutrient filled then romain and iceburg lettuce. Can anyone please give me advice?

The caresheet on this site goes pretty far in depth about diet. There are also food charts that you can print off of the caresheet.

That's exactly what I said when I joined just under three months ago! I don't think you will find a better site for advice, information, and general Bluey Love!
The good people here have definitely kept me interested and deeply intrigued in these great animals even as my Blueys are in brumation and sleeping the months away!
I think you will find that the more detailed the questions, the more helpful they become as well! So, ask away and you shall receive many answers...or at least you should get one good one!

Hi,
I don't know anything about the place you're thinking of buying from, but I would be wary as some larger sellers that deal with many herps tend to sell wild caught Blueys. Often, wild caught carry parasites, and they're well, wild! So they take longer and much more patience to tame down.
That said, read the caresheet, (it'll totally help with the food thing, I personally avoid crickets and mealworms- too little nutrition for what they're worth, and crickets can carry parasites as well! )
and good for you for doing your research first before aquiring your animal!
Welcome!

Go to
www.faunaclassifieds.com and do a search on the Board of Inquiry (aka BOI). If you dont find anything about them there, then post asking for some info about them. It can save you so much time and hassle in the long run.

Mealworms are full of chitin, and crickets pose too much of a problem for an adult BTS to get a good meal from, imo. Your best bet, if you want to use insects as a stable for your protein, would be superworms.

Superworms, snails(garden+aquatic),roaches, woodlice, earthworms, locusts, grasshoppers, all these are good sources of live feeders and way better than crickets and mealworms, mix up a few things from the food chart each time and see what gets eaten or refused.

Ask for a specific birthday and a record of the parents. Make 'em prove it to you!
If they're honest, there will be no issue, and they'll answer your questions accurately and quickly. If not, you'll get vague answers, or answers to questions you didn't ask, you may get an "I don't know". or no answer at all.
Good luck!
