WOW...ok, I have no idea...is that an IJ? Or a super-mutt? With all the blurring...maybe an IJxKei? Wow...I am interested to see what others have to say, I'm lost. :)

Is it just me or do these ones seem more eastern than Northern as they are advertised?

It's the first time I've ever bothered to search kingsnake and all these guys just caught my eye.

i'm not even gonna bother with the first one - I'm screwed if i know what it is, possibly IJ/Kei - but I haven't the foggiest.

The 2nd one has been up there for ages!!!

The last lot - Look like intergrades to me. Normally northern babies have tight banding. The bands and the vertical lines on the neck point to Eastern.

It was the clean legs, wide bands and narrow head that made me think eastern on the last ones.

The first one I wouldn't even hazard a guess as to what kind of mutt it is but it looks very nice.

That first one is interesting. When i first saw it, it kinda reminded me of Andrews Hypo IJ. Of course I am just looking at the partial picture from his website as I have never see pictures of the whole hypo blueys. The banding doesnt look as obvious in the kingsnake bluey as it does Andrews.

The first could possibly be a tanny cross. Tannies tend to lack distinct striping when older.

The second has been talked about before, and was sold before as well, then returned. Something is majorly fishy.

The third looks pretty much northern to me.

Yes the second one is not actually the sellers. He is trying to sell it for someone else (atleast that is what they told me in an email).

I think the second one is interesting, not particularly attractive but different enough to make notice of it.

1st one = mystery meat. Has a vague Kimberly look but we know that's impossible.

2nd one = Who the heck knows but $500.00? Kink in the tail? I'm with Fatal ... something's up.

3rd ones look northern to me.

I think the first one is wild caught -- it's one of those animals that looks just like a couple pictures featured in the bluey bible that Glenn Shea calls a Merauke, but which in his mind is the same as IJ. This one could almost pass as either. There are places in Papua where what we "perceive" as typical looking merauke's are found in the same places as what "we" see as typical IJ's. I think this is a wild one that comes from there -- it's a BEAUTY! I love this coloration....this is one of the reasons Glenn Shea lists "IJ's" in the same subspecies as the Merauke. I think the animals he studied and compared happen to look a lot like this one as there are a couple in the bible. Some IJ's and Merauke's are just so danged different looking though I'm still having a hard time agreeing that they should be grouped together...although I'm more accepting of it than I was a year ago because of animals like this...there really seems to be a point where merauke and IJ are actually fused. Sort of the same as how Indo's slowly "fuse" into merauke's as you go from west Indonesia to the east into Papua.

The second one (I think this was posted a month or so ago) is the same animal that was sold a couple years back as a Blotched. He had a real blotched and this one, and he was selling them as a pair. Of course, everybody jumped on him and the ad disappeared and he said he sold them. Now, it's back, so who know's! Glad he's not selling it as a Blotched anymore; that's all I care about. It's a funky looking IJ.

Last one's are Northerns! They will look more like Northerns when they get older. A lot of northern babies can look just like easterns. Plus, northerns here in the states can look pretty weird since we only have a handful of unique bloodlines...
