Introduction

Postby Riven » Thu Jan 24, 2008 2:21 pm

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forums. I've been into herps for years (10 to 12). I have been involved in breeding corns snakes and leopard gecko. I stopped breeding a few years ago due to a move and lack of space. I kept most of the breeders as pets.

I've never had the honor of owning a BTS but, I have always been interested in them. I hope to add one to my life this spring. It would be a pet and not a breeder at this time. Maybe in the future that will change. I look forward to sharing and learning from this very knowledgable group of people.

Thanks,
Scott

You will learn a lot and find some very interesting and exciting things on this page and in the world of BTS! I think the fact that you came on this forum will ACCELERATE your entry into the "club"! :) I know it helped me obtain a "few extra" blueys after my initial gift of an Indo...

Hopefully you have better self control than I, you will need it! The fact that you already have some great critters around should help you out... ;)

Welcome to the forum and enjoy the ride!

Hi Scott,
First off, let me say Welcome to the forum! :welcome:

Second, let me say thank you for the "mixing bowl" idea for my lost/AWOL leo. I will give that a try ( she only likes live wriggling active food. She won't touch mealworms!) So I'm wondering if she'll be attracted to hearing them scrabbling around if she can't see them? ( I know they can smell things. . . )

And lastly, have you read the caresheet on Blueys? Its so incredibly helpful on just the basics such as feeding, houseing, etc.
You won't regret having a Bluey in your life. They are such cool herps,
oh and when you get yours (check out the many reliable and caring breeders on this site/forum) you must post many pictures, it is the law! :D

:btsnet: If you add a bluey to your household you will be thrilled. They are awesome pets. Give yourself the winter to research (read the caresheet over and over) so you will be armed with all the right knowledge when baby season hits. Good luck with your newest obsession and don't forget to post pictures when you get your buddy home.

:welcome: Great to have you! Beware, blueys are soooo addictive, I am a rarity in that I only have just one, but the sole reason for that is that my horse eats up all the time and money I will ever DREAM of having. If only I could get time and money to come out the OTHER end of him... :chin:

Hi Scott! :hithere:

I am a first time Bluey owner. I only dabbled in a few reptiles as a kid (turtles, snakes, frogs and such)so I didn't know the correct way to really care for a herp. This site has not only helped me to provide the ideal environment to raise a happy and healthy BTS but I now have friends to go to whenever there is a problem or I have a question or concern.

You will love keeping a bluey. They are very easily handled and easy to keep. And you'll find that they are extremely bright and funny creatures to.

Great to see you here! Post pic's when the time comes! :heyho:
