Hi guys,
You might remember my lizard with the wounds around each front leg. Well she's healing those up well, still has full mobility (and alertness) and some nice fresh skin/scales is coming through there. It's taking a long time which scares me, but she is still very healthy in every other way (as far as I can see of course). The biggest problem now is a shed that is taking FOREVER. I have tried soaking her, but only for maybe 5 minutes max - now I have searched here and read to do it for 30 minutes or so! I'm going to give this a shot today and tomorrow and see how that goes, and hopefully the shed goes well.
I must say though that this has been so traumatic overall. I hate not being able to help her more through this whole process. I am also realising that I'm not the best person to be their owner, so once I have helped her through this shed and the wounds fully healing, I will be looking to give away to a good home her and her compadre. If anyone is interested and lives in Melbourne, Australia, please be in touch. When she _is_ fully healed, I'll post again to say as much.
Anyway, that's the latest.
-Naomi.

Hi Naomi,
Good to hear that your bluey's wounds are healing. I can't remember if you posted this info last time, but what is their diet like? Humidity problems can result in shedding problems, but so can diet problems. It's possible that something small might be missing accidentally. Can you describe their diet?
(You wouldn't be able to post photos, would you?
)
Don't be so harsh on yourself, these things can happen. You are not being a negligent owner! You are so concerned with their well-being, it's good that they have someone like you taking care of them that is so willing to help.

Wow thank you everyone
This is a real surprise to get such support here, even though my boyfriend (who initially was terrified of the lizards) is being very supportive and helping feed and water them, I still feel very alone and as a result very uncertain. Your support is wonderful
Re their diet, I feed them fruit, hardboiled eggs, and wet cat food, and sometimes tinned crickets. They are finicky eaters, but I am happy to try out different menus if people recommend it.

There are ideas on the food chart, better still go back a few pages and look for a thread by DREW, there were about 5 pages of what we'd all offered as meals, with some brilliantly thought out meals and pictures.
MMMmmmmm... Something???????
