Can't see the front legs (all black or speckled?) or the top of the head (black outlines on parietal scales?) but from what I see, I would say that it is a Merauke...need more pics! ;)

Looks like a beautiful animal nonetheless!

Why does the title say IJ? Pictures of the head and front legs are needed to tell. My gut said indo though.

It's not a big deal, I was just confused for a moment, trying to see it as an IJ ^.^ Then I read the actual post... I'd like to mention I really like the pattern on it's back too.

My first instinct says merauke, based on the ratio of color to black and general body shape. Pretty skink!
1.1 IJ "Baloo", "Bianca"
0.0.1 Northern "Sebastian"
1.1 Kei Island "KeiKei", Sprout"
0.2 chihuahua "Delilah", "Holly"
0.1 quarter horse "Cadence"
0.0.1 A. versicolor "Prism"

I reckon it's a Blue tongued Lizard!!! do i win?

Merauke. I say this cuz of the thickness of the tail and if the tail is in proportion then it's probably gonna be real long. Also - why can yall see any of the front legs? look hard - they are speckled.

Yeah...I can't wait to see more pictures! Those markings on the "neck" area scream Merauke to me now that I have seen a few...I have never seen those markings on anything but a Merauke...well, maybe an IJ but they look completely different even if they have those markings...ok, I will stop now... :)

My guess is still Merauke. The colors are very Indo, but the markings seem more Merauke....if Merauke is, indeed, a true sub...hope someone can figure that out soon... ;)

You can see the BACK of his right leg which in blueys, is very often speckled a little bit. Even on Indos.

Looks like an "in-betweener" but mostly Merauke. It's got one of those husky IJ looking heads which is a good sign for Merauke. (ANOTHER reason why Glenn considers them the same!)

Sounds like a good idea to me! ;) Maybe Niertie if it's a she? Those names are hard to spell... :)

Oh, Sokar would be good, too! :D

Oddly enough...even though I highly approve...she was pre-named! (I own all 14 seasons so far, both SG-1 and ATL)

And here I thought you guys were disscussing actual egyption history not Stargate, though i love the movie, series, and spinoff as well.

The Bluey looks Merauke to me, The body shape is lean, colors, look right, and head is pretty broad. In other words, I echo what the other's have said. Nice looking though. Should i start brushing up on "B" names?

I got the big SG1 box set and am unsure about atlantis - from what i've seen Atlantis is kinda cheesy b-grade (IMO).
