Hi there, sharing my bts

Hi there guys, I'm Alvin from Malaysia. I've been keeping blue tongues for almost four years now and currently have two in my keeping.

This is Xavier. He's a four year old Irian Jaya. He's my first blue tongue I got from a petstore. I'm not sure if he is a wild caught or captive bred specimen as the petstore guy had no clue where he actually came from. He's become the family's old favourite.

This is Xavier and Junior. Junior is my second Irian Jaya I raised from his first month. He is no longer with me but with a family friend but I still do pop in to check on him every now and then, he's doing fine.

I just got this girl today and I need an ID on her. She looks like an in-between (IJ and Indo) but my guess is Merauke. Or maybe not? Can anyone help? Thanks!

Hi Alvin! Nice to see your BTS here in the forum! After looking at the pic you of the last one closely, my bet is it's an Indo, or Indo X Irian Jaya.

Possibly ... that's why I wanted more pictures to see. Could be spots in the armpits that we can't see from the angle of the picture. Hard to be sure.

Hi guys, thanks for the warm welcome! That little chap wasn't so dark after all; she had shed during the day and when I came home from work she looked a lighter shade of orange, almost like a merauke. More pics to help with the ID.

And Blotch, black legs do not mean that it could not be a Merauke. I've seen IJ with practically all black forelegs. There are many Merauke that are "almost" IJ. All shades of animals; dark Merauke/IJ can have all nearly all black, and even all black legs.

+ 1.1 Eastern (Eugene, Enzo)
+ 1.2 Northern (Niko, Pearl, Peach)
+ 1.0 Tanimbar Island (TQ)
