the careesheet leads to a website that has a lot of them listed.
Common ones around here are:
Eggplant
Avocado
Coffee
Cherry Tree
Azalea
FoxGlove
Mistletoe
Buttercup
And I believe Cedar and Pine aren't good for them either??

I like food.
apparently dairy goods are bad - even though they are loaded with calcium - apparently it has something to do with the digestion system. I'm sure John woud be able to clarify - it seems something that would be up his alley.
I don't think the avocado thing has been proven - but I dare say no-one will wanna test it out - and that's understandable.
Umm Contrary to the caresheet - lettuce isn't bad for your bluey - it's just not good - meaning it's mostly water, so i guess it's good if your skinker isn't drinking.
if you stick to something close to their natural diet - you can't really go wrong. (snails, slugs, beetles, Roaches, Grasshoppers, crickets, Dandelions, fruit)
Cat food mixed with corn, green beans, berries and banana and eggs are a great feed - it's what i do along with the snails and Pinkie rats - Not pinkie mice - pinkie rats.
Fish is apparently a no no - I'm not sure why exactly - from what i've read it seems like every reason not to feed it is a load of propaganda - however I don't feed it to my guys cuz they wouldn't eat it in the wild. Fish in my personal opinion is different to red and white meats like chicken, turkey, beef etc... Just a "feel" thing - I get a bad vibe from fish.

not i - I personally don't see how it could be harmful - As the calcium would be great for them.
I asked a while ago about cheese. and it was pretty much a no no in most peoples eyes - but the reasons i can't remember.

well i can answer the avocado question. well quoting my old boss. avocado has a toxin in the skin. but supposedly it is only within some avocados nowadays. it is a huge no no for birds but that doesn't mean the avocado you feed would have the toxin. just with the milk they are probably referring to the lactose as most animals digestive systems cannot cope with it. think of it like cellulose only certain animals such as ruminates and animals with extra large caecums can digest it due to microorganism colonies in their digestive systems.

in regards to the avacado - if it's only in the skin - then the actual flesh should be fine. I still doubt anyone will test it.
With Cellulose - This passes straight through blueys. I've had a few of my blueys eat the recycled paper kitty litter (reptile bedding) and I've seen them pass it. Although I can't imagine it'd be comfortable for them having it expand in their stomach only to be pooped out in a bigger form than how it went in.

It's true though that they do like milk and dairy products and sweet stuff. But it's not something that they are used to having so it's best left out of a good diet.
I read a list once of toxic plants for reptiles and had a little laugh that cannabis was on it. They really don't need to be any more laid back than they are, and I don't know how their little arms would go rolling a spliff anyway

LOL!!! How would weed be bad for them? maybe they'd get real paranoid and have heart failure.
Imagine a bluey rolling up a fat one!!! CLASSIC!
Who has the bluey named marley? Maybe they should give sliff rolling lessons to him.

I think the fact that Blueys are not mammals, and therefore wouldn't have the ability to digest milk as a source of vitamins/minerals (lactose) is why most people think its a no-no.
But I have heard of people feeding their Blueys yogurt, so I don't know. Maybe the active cultures are ok for them?
Dairy (other than eggs and for pete's sake I have never understood why eggs are considered "dairy"!) should/would be something very rarely given in my opinion.
Not gonna test the avocado theory either!

I would be REALLY interested to see some Scientific proof as to why milk is not a good idea.
Granted everything you just mentioned Saille is IMO a solid theory but I'm really curious as to scientific evidence either way.

lactose intolerance - granted - but is this the reason? This is what i'm saying - there's been no scientific study into blueys to tell whether they can have it or not - but in saying that, soy milk should be ok for them - even though soy milk is an abomination.

hahahaha an abomination indeed, lol i still drink regular milk hahah i jstu dont drink much. have a little in cereal some days. yeah scientific research and reptile sin aus is extremely lacking. mainly because there is no money for aus in reptiles. unlike cattle which has a huge ecomonic standpoint and is where all the research grants go. maybe someone will test it soon.

Too right!
the wife of oneof my old bosses was lactose intolerant. She would have skinny milk thogh is there was no soy milk. It was so funny cuz after 15 mins of so - she'd start farting like a machine and get really embarressed. I used to call her tooter.
