New to blueys this spring

Hi all, I was coming to the forums last spring interested in caring for a bluey. Except last spring, my family was due to move over the summer ( which turned into november), so I decided to put off getting a bluey until we were settled into our new permanent home. (considering we already had to move with two carsick cats, 12 hermit crabs, and 2 tanks of anoles, plus all the empty tanks that I horde for reasons unknown  )

So, here I am again :ohyes:

And also, I was wondering if anyone planned on producing any northerns this season? ( I figure I'd like one of them, after reading the different type descriptions)

They're itty bitty lizards, native to at least Florida (I got a chance to see wild ones on a recent trip-so cool!) There's also a couple different kinds. Most stores sell the green anoles (although they can turn tan, brown, or almost black if agitated)

That picture is of the common green anole. (male, because of the red throat flap, females look the same minus the throat flap and they're smaller)

welcome to the board!

Try Zach - Andrew Seike - or Ray Gurgui

All breed northerns.

Apart from that - keep an eye on the classifieds!

Anoles are cool! I see them all the time around my house. They are so underrated as a pet. They are so common though, that you can find them at pet stores for $7. They aren't hard to take care of either.

Yeah, anoles are fun. They're so energetic, and I love the sticky-hang-upside down feet. My male is so aggressive, though, really territorial. But he was never handled, he belonged to my younger cousin's friend, who really didn't care about him. But he's fun to watch, more comical than the girls.

I bet! I don't own any anoles though. I have a chinese water dragon that is cool to watch. He's energetic as well.

I find anoles are usually bought by people who want a small, tame lizard. They're more for watching, not handling, so people are often disappointed.

yeah, out of my 3 I can only handle 1. One of the others my sister found in a shipment of palm plants (she works in a florist) so it's wild, and the other is the big male. He displays when I even do simple things like watering the plants in his tank.
