Sniffly Skink

Postby NewtotheBlue » Sun Mar 23, 2008 11:36 am

So just as Ingres has seemed to get over his eye problem (you guys were right, after he finally shed, i got a PROPER rock, he was fine.) now he's go the sniffles. I'm not sure what to do about it, anyone go any homeopathic ideas? (this has been going on for maybe about a week)

thanks

The sniffles are usually not something you want to treat at home. It's possibly the first sign of an upper respiratory infection. Runny nose, eyes, and mouth are potentially serious. The best thing is to get to a good herp vet.

I'd up the heat for a week - If no improvement - go to a good vet.

I'd say keep the heat up,even at night dont let it get too cold, and make sure there's only drinking water, not big dishes of water in the enclosure, to keep the hmiduty down, can you explain better? has he got a runny nose?is there discharge from the nostrils or the bubbles in the eyes,or is it his breathing that sounds wheezy.
MMMmmmmm... Something???????
