Just wanted to say "Thanks"

Postby Reptilestop » Wed Apr 02, 2008 1:05 pm

I've been raising reptiles for about six years, successfully bred beardies and a few other reptiles, so I'd consider myself fairly knowledgeable. I'm by no means an expert so I like to have an info resource! I only joined a few days ago and I must say, I've never found a place so inviting and free with their information. You guys are great! There is so much to learn here and everyone offers their help freely. You are the most supportive group I've seen.

THANKS!!! :ohyes:

I agree reptile stop. This is the greatest forum :ohyes: . I have not seen any nastiness at all, where as other people on other sites will abuse people asking questions for not knowing and then not offer any advice  , people on this site congratulate people for asking (even if the animal is already in the house) and then offer quality advice. You guys are wonderful and should be proud of your efforts. Because of your helpfulness my bluey is my best cared for pet yet

I have to agree as well, if it wern't for this site with its amazingly detailed care sheet and members who are always so willing to answer any questions i wouldn't have my bluey right now because i wouldn't feel i could offer him the very best of everything he needs.
Thank you all for suffering my questions and constant worries :D

I agree...this site is undoubtledly the best reptile site around that is devoted to a single species.....it is crammed with info and the forums are great for chatting with other BTS lovers, whether its a question, a photo, or a shoulder to cry on.

I need to give Zach and Holly a great big hug for doing this. :thanks:

yup yup!

If it weren't for this site I'd probably be feeding my guy superworms and lettuce ;P

This site is AWESOME!~~ ^_^

I also love how it connects people that are around the same area. You'd probably never have known they existed otherwise ^_^

Agreed!! If there were more sites like this, then maybe there would be less abused / unwanted animals who are dying because of poor care. If it wasn't for this site, I wouldn't have gotten a BTS because of lack of information on them.

Thanks so much guys!!

Unfortunately it's unlikely that more site like this would lower the amount of abused animals as the people who neglect and abuse their animals are the ones who are not going to bother looking for sites like this.

I will agree though that this site and forum is one of the best animal care sites ever. The extended family like atmosphere is maintained because the memebers don't tolerate attacks or "cliques" that you find elsewhere and because Zach and Holly has essentially opened their lives to all of us, every person knows that if they need help, support, or just a confirmation that things are okay. They can call upon Zach, Holly, or any of the other regulars at any time day or night, swomeone will always be available and no question is ignored. Especially for novices this is a very important service as they are bound to be unsure of themselves.

We may not always all agree but everyone always gives their best and remain friendly with each other despite the disagreements.

True - I'm just trying to be optimistic. I really can't believe anyone would knowingly do this to a pet, so I'm trying to believe that it is lack of education and not lack of caring that causes rescues. Likely it is both, unfortunately the education is available if the people cared....

Some people do deserve to be sterilized, and in cases of animal abuse it should be mandatory.
