is he ok?

Postby moonpie » Mon May 05, 2008 1:08 pm

i may sound like a paranoid owner but i just love Indie so much i need to know...
lately he has been a bit more hyper than usual so i have been letting him have runs around in the kitchen which entertains him to no end, but tonight i came in literally 5 mins ago and when he heard me he ran quicker than i have ever seen him run across his viv, so i said his name and his head darted and i went to open the viv and he sprinted under his hide.
now i hold him all the time and i have never hurt him is he just hyper and needs a run or is he scared or ill or something?
PLEASE HELP
come to the darkside we have cookies and milk :D

Might be him getting all hyped for summer ^^

my guy is definitely more active since spring/summer weather is more consistent now ^_^
Plus he wants to be out of his viv for longer periods of time now too ^_^

You might have been to quick for him when you opened the viv so that's why he hid. so try going slower next time ^_^
my guy waits at the front of the tank for me to pick him up ^^

Anything else that's weird about him??
If he's eating and pooing regularly then maybe you just have a happy skinkers~

nothing wrong at all - you are over reacting. You know when someone sneaks up behind you and scares the living day lights out of you? Well that's what happened with your bluey.

Just to clarification - The white stuff isn't poo, it's actually the urate. Basically we (humans) pee urine which is everything our body doesn't use in liquid form. Blueys seperate the urine into Water and urate. You may know this - but with how you worded it, i thought it a good idea to clarify just incase any other newbies come past and read it.

moonpie, are you over here in the UK? This is the time they start to get interested in getting out and about, normally a month or so earlier but the weathers been crap cold this year so far, hence the slow start in activity.

No need for thanks moon! :P

Also - when isn't the weather in the UK horrendous? Even is summer it's still cold! That's why so many of you end up coming to Oz.

Oi! Enough of that!!! Melbourne is the best place in Australia - that's why it's been voted most Livable city in the world NUMEROUS times!!!

I don't think Brisbane or the Gold coast has even had a look in! And sydney, ha! don't get me started!

Luke, you remind me of Winnipeggers. We adore our city. People never understand it, nor do we. We don't want to leave, we love Winnipeg. And people ask why and we have no clue.

"Why do you stay here?"
"I love it here."
"Why? It's bloody cold!"
"Umm, dunno, I just love it."
"Is there anything to do here?"
"No, not really."
"So it's freezing and dull? Any good qualities?"
"Umm, not really."
"Sounds fun."
"No."

At which point the Winnipegger realizes they're an idiot, that there are much nicer places to live, and either leaves or just hangs around to make a new generation of loyal Winnipeggers.

Hey, I'm a relativly new member, been reading posts but haven't posted anything, but I think I need to stand up for Queensland :P 23C is a beautiful day and the high humidity just means the storms are that much better (although i do admit they have nothing on the NT's storms), but compared to Victoria, you guys have nothing :P

Cheers

hey don't get me wrong - Brisbane is like melbourne - just warmer. I like Brisbane! only bad thing is that QLD is a rugby state - and you have way too many cockroaches.
