Introducing Arista

So I was trying very hard to keep my collection of blueys down to 3.....and of course I failed. My room mate said that she would like to have one in the living room so that she could see it during the day......so of course that gave me permission to get another! Bianca is not camping out in the living room because my roomie likes her the best, and there's a new occupant to my corner unit. Now I'm considering building another caging unit. And to think I thought I had some self control.......

Anyways, meet Arista. This is caramel northern that Rich had listed for sale on the classified section. She is way prettier in person than in photos, and is really social! She just arrived and is already cruising around her tank and begging to be let out. Yay! Maybe Sebastian will have a girl friend for next year.....

She's a long girl, I'll get a measurement and weight once she's settled in. She decided to go into hiding a little bit ago and I don't want to disturb her until she's been here for a little while.

Saille, I was a little worried about the underbite, but its definitely more pronounced in photos. If I didn't know it was an abnormality I wouldn't have thought anything of it when she came out of the bag. I think she has a really feminine face, I hope she passes that onto her babies.


On the cage building note, I'm starting to think about building another 3 high unit. Zach, do you have plans for how you built your's? I think I could modify it so that it'd just be 3. Anyone else have good plans for that sort of thing? Thanks!

Does an underbite affect how she eats or something??

I wondered about this myself, but I hadn't fed her yet so I didn't know. Today, she proved that she's a great eater, even with her bull-dog grin. Didn't seem to slow her down a bit. Here's a few shots from after grub.....
