Slight Infection in the corner of the mouth

Hello,

i noticed some brownish/black dots in the corners of the mouth on my 1-year-old eastern bts.

I cleaned it carefully and the tissue seems to be irritated or slightly infected.

I read through the topic of mouth issues. This seems to be the case here.

Should i be worried? Should i try cleaning the area and apply some betadine? Or should i go to the vet directly?

This is the first time i have any medical issues with my skink so i don't have much experience handling this situation.

The skink behaves normally.

Thanks in advance

I do not see anything worth concern. They're quite gross when they eat and not very good at cleaning themselves up. Quite often food or some substrate gets in the corners there and looks like something worse. One of my easterns has this issue quite often, she's such a pig she'll try and eat every piece she drops and often takes substrate with it. As long as the mouth inside looks fine I wouldn't worry.
