BTS doesn't know how to eat?

Hi guys, hope you're all doing well.
Now first things first. I'm new to the BTS world and only got my little worm 3 days ago. I haven't fed him, wanted to give him some down time and today I offered him some fruits to entice his first time eating in his new home. He's about 4y of age (and was kept in terrible conditions, which is going to change all now bit by bit!)
He came round for the lil snack but then he did something odd. He aimed for the fruits with the mouth wide open and pulled down his 'chin' along the plate. No fruits nearby. He kept that up 4 times or so and then walked away, on an empty stomach.
I hope I can share a link here as I have it on video. Perhaps someone can explain to me what his big idea was and even more.. if I should be worried.
