BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

Looking for help Identifying subspecies, just picked him up a few days ago from the pet store. From looking online my guess was Halmahera, I had him in a temporary enclosure for a few days and he seemed very unhappy and inactive but once I put him on better substrate and bumped the humidity up above 80% he seemed much more active.

Also any tips for handling would be appreciated, I’m gonna let him chill for a few days and get used to the new environment before I really try, but the few times I’ve had to handle him to move him he’s huffed the entire time.

how do i make my own post, and how do i change my pfp to my northern blue tongue skink ozzy, i am also 12 btw have grown up with reptiles as pets since i was born, first time getting a skink, by far m favourite animal/pet ive ever had and in general just my favourite animal. super intelligent and social i belive he is 2 and a half yet hes only 15 nches or so he is a bit chubby aswell.
