Mould/Fungi Problem?

Postby ChristianH26 » Thu Sep 19, 2024 12:17 pm

Hi, just looking for some advice for a new concern regarding mould/fungi.

My ~5 year old halm has a non-Bioactive vivarium with coconut fibre as the main substrate and a layer of cypress mulch on top. I have tried Bioactive in the past and it didn’t go very well.

Yesterday I cleaned and added fresh bedding to the viv and today lifted up the fresh sphagnum moss covering a Komodo Flexi-stick hide. To my surprise there was the some mycelium forming underneath.

I’m just looking for some advice on the matter as this is the first time it’s happened and I’m not sure that fungi is alright with a non-bioactive setup. Cheers.
