Seeking second and third opinions

Hi, everyone. I am hoping to get some advice/ insight as well as some second opinions. We are currently trying everything we can to make our guy better. I am attaching some of his x-ray pictures, as well as his blood results we just received. He seems to have some issues with his lung. We don’t know if it’s fluid, pneumonia, or inflammation. We were told he is going through kidney failure, and that he is dying. I’m unwilling to accept this. We want to do everything we can for him to get better. If anyone has any insight on what we can do, please I am asking for help. This was attached by the vet along with the blood work results:

Hello Sophie and Mike,

I have attached a copy of the bloodwork. This is 95% complete. The EPH(electrophoresis) is still being verified by their pathologist. It does have the numbers attached but it is not finial-which you can see from the in review at the top right corner of it's page.

To help explain this- the cbc was normal except for his PCV, which is elevated from dehydration. This being normal rules pretty much rules out an infectious cause as if he did have an infection the varying white cells would be affected and there would be toxic cells present.

His fecal shows just oxyurids-these are common to find in patients fed insects as they tend to carry pinworms. They are only every treated if they are in very high numbers and diarrhea is present. SO basically his fecal is considered normal.

His chemistry has the most concerning abnormalities. His elevated UA(uric acid) is partly from dehydration but when it is that severely elevated it also indicates kidney damage. This is unfortunately supported by the very high Na(sodium) and borderline/just out of bounds K(potassium). These electrolytes are normally filtered and controlled by the kidney but when disease has damaged the kidney they begin to rise. These 3 alone being elevated can definitely cause most or all of the clinical signs he is showing. His calcium(Ca) is also elevated- from the kidney not working well and retaining it- and this is what I think is causing the changes seen on his lung x-rays. Chronic elevated calcium can cause calcification deposits around the body. The mildly elevated BA(bile acid) is an early indication of his liver function- so it is also beginning to be affected from his kidneys not functioning. The globulin and albumin levels on the chemistry portion are not as accurate at any lab for reptiles-which is why we do the EPH. As you can see from the levels listed so far, his protein levels are actually low or low normal, this is to be expect with kidney disease too as they are lost out through urine instead of being retained by the kidneys should do if they were functioning properly.

Unfortunately, this supports chronic kidney disease for him and when the levels are found to be this high the prognosis is guarded. You can continue the antibiotic and soaking him daily if you'd like and it may provide some relief, but I fear he will continue to slowly deteriorate over time and quality of life should be considered for him and decisions.

I am so sorry I don't have better news with these results for you. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do or explain further for you. I will send the complete EPH once it is finished, I just didn't want you to have to wait any longer.
