BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

Ventress - 7 year old Indonesian, humidity between 75 and 90, seems to have a swollen tinge (I’d call it a finger but you may class it as a toe!) no stuck shed, get gloves every time he sheds - he has got even more boisterous as of late so I’m wondering if scratching to get out so frequently could cause this? Any ideas on what it is and how to help him recover appreciated.
He seems fine in himself, he’s lively, eating, pooing, social, just got one big ol’ finger. No noticeable damage other than it’s enlarged.
Other things to note - uvb regularly changed, basking around 104 and cool end 75. Coco coir substrate. Fogger on timer.

I've had it happen a few times when they are in season and overactive. Never any consequences, just healed themselves. I'd just keep an eye on it for now. As long as it doesn't discolor or look infected.

Funny you should say that, he’s definitely in an odd mood, tapping at glass constantly… got an unhealthy obsession with my slippers and now dressing gown, he chases them then holds them in his mouth… I think he thinks they are ladies.
I’ve booked him in to the vet Thursday so il see how it is tomorrow and if no worse il cancel and see how he gets on for a bit.

Doesn't look bad. One of my Westerns had one so bad I thought it was going to fall off. But it didn't. Good luck!

I’ve seen similar swelling in my Northern during breeding season. It cleared up on its own in a week or so. As long as there’s no discoloration or behavior change, keeping an eye on it sounds like the right call. Good to know others have seen the same.
