Not sure where they ended up -- they were sold a while back on KS.

This first one is pretty darn cool.

I love shinglebacks. I always refer to them as pinecones.

Okay, I know I shouldn't share this...
Never mind! I edited this because I think it will end up throwing this thread way off topic!!!

Seriously though, how rough and tough are the shingle scales? I guess this is hard to describe, but you know how normal blueys have softer, more flexible scales? Are shingle scales more rigid and thick like they look in the pictures? When shingles shed, is the shed thicker?

My husband always tells me that they look like "painful turds."
He does think they are really cool. It's just Ben has a way of relating everything to poo. He even calls me his little poop-a-loop, and he calls Popsicle "Poopsicle". :godhelp:

hahahaha...totally. My wife would tell you the same thing about me in that I relate everything to poo, as well. Shinglebacks look like the result of a painful bout of constipation. Apart from that, how are they? Do they behave just like any other skink?

Australians would probably do better if they didn't have 1000 slang terms for everything... *waits for Colin to chime in*

I'm only kidding. Where would we be without Oz-ese?

In some places in oz they are called cow turd skinks, cause when they are curled up they look exactly like one.
