I usually have an immediate favorite, but I never vote until I've had time to completely look them all over and decide which is my favorite and will look best as a calendar picture that fits the theme. This month will take me a while.....

:D on that note. I think someone should make a realistic looking miniture village and shoot a 50's style horror film involving a skink....it has to be done.

There's something I like about each of the pictures.

#1 - I like the textured tongue.
#2 - A very naturalistic shot. I could envision a skink in the wild basking on a rock.
#3 - Makes me laugh. The skink looks like a plump opera singer who just received a bunch of roses.
#4 - Skink looks like a thrill-seeker. Plus the background is pretty.
#5 - Makes me smile. The skink is clinging to the log like a security blanket.
#6 - Reminds me of taking a nature hike, looking down, and seeing a lizard hiding in the grass.
#7 - Also makes me laugh. The skink looks so happy!
#8 - I dig the camo. The skink blends in really well with the ground.
#9 - This one made me say, "awww.."

Maybe I over-analyze the photos. I can't decide... :hair:

Look at the old contest photos. The contest winner for October 2005 was a skink with a pumpkin head standing in front of a small house!
