Calling all Blotcheds, Meraukes and IJs !!!
As we have done in the past, this year we will dedicate some months in the calendar to feature certain bluey species. May will be the first month of 3 months in which we will not have a contest for the calendar, but instead will highlight species. For the 2008 calendar we will highlight Blotcheds, Meraukes and IJs. So, if anyone has any pictures of these species that they would like considered for the calendar please email them to: kellyann72@comcast.net
Remember, the blueys must be owned by you or another member. Therefore, if you know of any pictures in previous posts that you think should be considered please send me either a link to the post/thread or email the picture. If it is not your bluey please remind me who the owner is. If it is your bluey, please provide the bluey(s) name as well as your forum name
I have yet to decide on a deadline for these pictures, but will let you know once I do. In the meantime, feel free to submit entries. Once a deadline is set, the entries will be compiled and narrowed down by moderators. We will then post a poll for members to vote on their favorites.
Both full body and close up (particularly profile shots, overhead shots, etc) are great pictures - we want to display each species and all their wonderful features.

The purpose of these pics is to display the blueys in a more 'natural' way - so you'd have a better chance of your pictures being selected if you don't have 'props', etc. If you take a look at the previous pictures selected you'll see what I mean. Send me however many you want - just try to be a bit selective and don't go overboard.

I do have one request. If anyone is submitting pictures of more than one of the species, please send seperate emails for the different species (one email with IJs, one with Merauke, etc).
Also, the pictures need to be a good size. If they are too small, even if they are great pictures, they can not be used. I would say (Renee help me here) a picture at least 640x480, but the bigger the better.

I'll be sending mine half size like last time. Dial Up.
But if I ever have a winner then I'll make an effort to resend it full size as a one off
Don't make the dead-line before next Tuesday!

640 x 480 should be minimum. The main picture in the calendar page is 2300 x 1480, so any larger than that is overkill unless you want it cropped down a bit. The picture doesn't have to be that big, but the bigger the better so we don't have to worry about a fabulous picture getting a bit fuzzy when blown up to the correct size.
