Hey, ur signiture says you have 5 male blotched. If this is true, how in the world are you breeding them? Isn't there some kind of female requirement? Lol.

:hithere:

Your avatar may have been lost in one of the many site crashes that have happened since your last visit. The site seems to be stable again now, but you'll probably have to find your avatar again and put it up.

Hey, Luke!

If you still have it, send it to me, or try putting it up. I might have it still somewhere because it was hilarious.

yeah - In fear of being crucified as I have been many times in the past, I was trying to hybridize. However - I have 10 Blueys all up, 3 Easterns, 7 blotchies, however as my thingy says i have a possible hybrid - But I'm doubting that now.

They've been kept inside - and I guess they just aren't cooling enough, so i'm gonna try moving them outside and see how that goes.

If anyone has successfully bred easterns or blotchies indoors, let me know how you cooled them enough - cuz i'm plum out of luck!

Thx!

Be careful with hybrids. A blotch X AIG can be a lethal combination!

when i bred blotchies inside i just turned all heating off,ALL,there extremely cold hardy and they need it to breed,it wont harm them at all, mine were in a shed down the back,no insulation at all and it got pretty cold in there,i had there lighs fully out for 2 to 3 months,no heat pads or nothing, easterns arent as cold hardy as blotchies so maybe try keeping them around 15 degrees celcious, but my blotchies i dont have probs letting them go down to 5 degrees over night ,as in the shed it will go up to around 16 degrees at least during the coldest weather, hope that helps

i keep all my breeder blotchies out door in the cage i put up earlier in the thread now, best thing u can do for them blotch,as u live in the same locality they r from, and will be easier for breeding them as it will b more natural,id b waiting for spring before u put them outdoors though now as it would be risky doing it now as its already cooled down and they wont have adjusted, good luck with them,oh and what made u think one of them was a hybrid,i have seen a wild eastern cross blotch, looked like a blotched but had the lower banding of an eastern showing up

oh the possible hybrid - Well it was his markings - he is very much like a blotch but very grey and slightly different to my other blotchies. i have both alpine and lowland and he is as i said different. If I was to pick which he'd be - i'd pick Alpine - however the colors aren't that of an alpine - as i said - more grey. I'm probably wrong, He looks nothing like the hybrid I saw a while ago. This thing was Awesome, dark in color but the pattern was beautiful!!!

Hi Blotch,

I'm new so since you are old we must've passed each other 'in the night...... '

So sorry to hear about your Rotti - it's one of the most underestimated tragedies to happen and so few people realise the personal and emotional implications.

Sound's like your bluey companions are doing well - haven't you a laundry or somewhere that isn't heated, cause remember, in Melbourne they kinda dig in and get under their Bluey "doona".

BTW..........
Get yourself another dog - makes the nervous breakdown a bit softer.

Ok first off, in regards to my AIG - Fatal, you're a knob - and I like it!!! :) hehehe

In regards to the comment from nature's Gift, yeah - I actually have been through a bit. You metioned the whole break down thing, I know exactly what you mean. I had him for 13 years which is a good stint for a rotty, but either way I'm still missing him. I was talking to my mum 2 days ago and i brought him up and broke down in tears. What can I say? He was my best mate!
