Postby Perenty7 » Fri May 18, 2007 2:21 am

Hi Richard C,

Here is a photo of my large female Northern Blue-Tongue Lizard from Darwin NT, Australia.

She is 67cm long and was born in late January 1995.

l hope she get to breed again this breeding season, that is less than one month away.

Cheers,

Hi Blotch,

l am near Chadstone Shopping centre,in Oakleigh.

l have been keeping Northern Blue-Tongue lizards since 1995, they are easy to breed, but can be a bit agreesive towards each other at feeding time, and mating time.

lf you log onto petlink, you will see l have a ad on there for the NEC T8-T10 blacklight UV Tubes, and that as my email address as well.

So you can email me if you want to.

Cheers,

Les.

Hi Richard c.

l agree with you that a picture does no justice for any Reptile, looking at them in real is far more better, and you get to see how friendly or snappy
they are as well.

Cheers,

Les. :P Image

Hi Zach,

Yes my male Kimberley from Prince Regent 500km North of Broome in Western Australia, is beautiful looking, but you have not seen is sister yet
she is real bright orange with speckle spots all over her head.

When she comes out from hiding under the cage,l will take a photo of her,
so you can see how beautiful she is, just like her brother.

Thanks for welcoming me on this website, l am sure l will enjoy sharing
my experience with Northern Blue-Tongue Lizards, and learn alot more as well.

Cheers mate,

Les.

HA! They are by far one of my favorite types of BTS. Too bad I don't know of ONE here in the states that are like these; particularly the first one.

One of the reasons I love my Pearl so much is that she sort of resembles a Kimberley without spots.

Zach,
Your 2 pearl Northern Blue-Tongues look so beautiful and stunning, which they were mine as well, so l could include them in my breeding programe.

The one in the top photo, look like my 2 from Kununurra which is near the boarder of Western Australia and Northern Territory, but on the Western Australia side.

My female you see in the photo sitting on a placemat, would look similar to your lite one in the top photo here.

Thank for sharing your photo's, l will add some more photo's today, showing my other 3 Northern Blue-Tongue Lizards, one from Darwin NT,one from Broome and one from Prince Regent in Western Australia.

Cheers,

Les.

Loving this! I've only ever really seen pictures of the brightly coloured "orange/yellow" Northerns (with the exception of Zach's Pearl) - seeing all these beautiful pastel and speckled Northerns is such a treat! :hyper:

l agree with you Richard c, it would be nice to see some of their babie's,
the good news is the breeding season is about to start, from early June until late August.

One of my Males left a bit of sperm on the floor this morning, when he went to the toilet, and that is a good sign that he is getting ready to breed.

Cheers,

Les.
