Hi there all i am new to skinks i saved mine from a pet store he has toes missing and looked cramped but i fell in love with him/her i have him in a 4ft by 2ft viv with a slate basking rock uv light and basking light. substrate is aspen shavings he has two hides a large water dish and some artificial plants. I have never owned a skink and have read all i can form the site i am feeding him a good and varied diet and he is doing just fine.he huffed and puffed at me at first but now he is gaining my trust i hope i can give him/her a good life.

thanks guys i am just getting used to the site finding my way around but i have got some real sound advise from you all and i hope to carry on the good work in keeping loui happy when i figure out how i will post some pics may take a while im a bit technophobic and dont have full use of all of my digits but still have a big heart.great to know people like you do this good work and help.

Sounds like you've set up a great new home for your skink.
I'd advise if you haven't had it done already that you get your skink checked out by a vet with experience in reptiles. In particular, get a fecal test to make sure it doesn't have internal parasites.
