Good fruit

Postby Felmarg » Sun May 27, 2007 8:36 am

What is a good fruit to feed that isn't tropical, or hard to come by because my grocery store does not have many fruits! Lucky me they have everything else a skink needs besides silkworms. I looked at the charts on the caresheet, but I want some more advise.

my Quigly LOVES Grapes (seeded red globes are the favored), and Blueberries (I get frozen, yes I know reduced nutrition but it's really a treat after all) strawberries (also frozen when fresh isn't available) rasberries are supposed to be really good for em but Quigs won't touch em not even with the very tip of his tongue :noknow:

Thanks! My grocery store has all those things. Are they good for every day feeding?

rasperries are the only recomended ones for everyday but I say If you keep it varied you know mon feed blueberries, tuesday Grapes, wed bananathen start again or something like that it should be ok as long as you try to keep phosphorus and calcium levels even I even occasionally calci-dust my fruit and Quigs don't seem to mind and I figure since most fruits are higher in phosphorus it helps keep the balance.
