Northern vs. IJ (size wise)
I can't decide whether I should get an IJ or a northern, so I think I will choose the smaller one. Which one is smaller?

I like northerns But of the two I think IJ's are prettier but there is a little more of a northern to love.

Northerns are a bit longer and typically stockier. If you get IJ, be sure it's captive bred as all in pet stores are snatched from the wild and not ready to make favorable pets. Northerns are always captive bred in the states because they only come from Australia, and they haven't allowed fauna export since the late 70's. Irian jaya come from Indonesia where export is legal.

Felmarg, you'll have to forgive us for not assuming you are well-versed in the site. Try to understand that being new doesn't mean you are clueless, we're just very thorough with our advice. I'm personally quite impressed you read and studied as much as you did before beginning to post. That's unusual.

I have been studying the caresheet for over a year, but have not took part in the forums untill recently. I think I want to get a baby IJ from one of the breeders at this site.
Plus, my pets tore doesn't have blueys.
