Way to go Ian!
What an adorable little fellow.
Is there any way to tell if the mum is one that you had released previously? I was curious if you tag them in any way or anything to keep a record of them.

Iam working on some sort of perminent thing ..I do use a deep purple reptile ink yes Shelle , And paint under ther back legs and it will only stay until there next shed , ive found them a year later as i do there back feet pads and back nails...This ink is impossible to wash off unless you have special stuff to remove it .No ive not seen her mum before we also found die back on the farm another fungal diesese brought in on car tyres , and it kills all the big tree,s ..I got a sample of it see if we can stop it ..There is 500 pristine achre,s of malley tree,s , salmon gums ghost gums & wondoo i think its the hardest wood on earth .So its killing the tree,s dam it .

Fair play to you mate, I was wondering the same

if you get to see/recognise any old releases when you revisit an area

Good ol' Ian, lookin' for bush shrimp just to find more poor souls to look after. A sticker on the head, a bit of dashboard banana, a few prayers, not to mention starting up the boiling water for the meal.

I could fill up on those "crawdads," as we call them here. Well done, my friend.
