I noticed the link in Jenn's sig the other day, and it inspired me to get a little domestic for Marley. My gf had made me a large fleece blanket in the past by getting 2 kinds, laying the different fleeces ontop of eachother, cutting fringe along the edges and tying it all together. And since I know nothing about sewing and have no machine, I used that method to construct my own nerdy Bluey sleeping bag! Thanks again to Jenn for the idea! :)

Would be more appropriate if I had come up with a star wars themed name for Marley, but I still really like it, and couldn't turn down this fabric, haha:

The sleeping bag is 22x14 about, so he should be able to grow into it for a while:

I folded it in half to let him take a nap in it earlier and it was still big for him right now, this shows how small he is to it spread out

He has yet to leave his sleeping bag on his own, and crawled back into it right after I got this pic:

Even though the star wars material was a little more, the gray interior was on sale and it was fairly cheap overall. Hopefully I can wash it and keep it for a while... Marley loves taking naps in it already!

It's the adorable Marley!!! :ohyes:

Cool bag too!

I got a couple sleeping bags that Jenn made when I got Wings and Freckles, but they weren't personalized with their names on them so now I'm going to order them each a new one. I'm not crafty at all.

Hey, but I got an idea. You could put each fringe in a braid or a row of knots and then it can be like dreads!

haha, nice one. If i ever find a rasta pattern fleece I will totally do that shelly, haha. I suppose I could just find a nice marley patch on ebay or something and sew it on. I know enough to do that, just not effectively connect fabrics, lol.

Awww.. Marley looks so snug in his new blankie :) I should make a few for "someone" :D It's not like I don't make plenty of hammies and pouches and tubes and tunnels for my Poodah Pack already

Great, now your skink will be living in your spare bedroom until he's middle aged and refuses to play with the toys in the blister packs so they "...keep their value." You should have gone with the "Tony Robbins," fleece to motivate him a bit more...

Probably because socialism is dead; no one left to point guns at fleecemakers.

I think a skink should be aloud to "become one with the force". This sleeping bag will help it do just that!

Are we having a Star Wars discussion without me?

I'm not sure that anybody will be as excited about this as I am, but next Friday I will be attending a local baseball game. What's exciting about this? Well, THE Chewbacca will be there!! Not to mention, members of the 501st are going to be there too.

:ohyes:

BTW, that's a sweet sleeping bag!
