Should I feed something other than just snails as meat?

I just found the most beautiful pond I have ever seen! I was riding my bike around a nice little neighborhood , and I saw two ducks fly out from over these trees. I went to check it out, and there was a clear pond. At first I thought that it was lined with rocks, but they where snails! There where at least 10,000 snails! I realized that if I could breed these, I could have a year round meat source for a skink if I get one.

First question: Would it be fine to use only snails as a skinks meat source?

Second question:How old should a skink be before it is fed live snails?

Third question: If a young skink can eat live snails, should they be small
ones?

I would never feed only a single source on any given category....you always need to be mixing it up!

Never to young or old to feed snails....

Any size is great......

Thats what I was thinking. I will throw in a few silkworms, and maybe some super worms too. How long should I keep the snails before using them as feeders? Also, are there any kinds of snails I shouldn't use?

yeah, variety is nice, but snails are supposed to be a good staple meat. So a daily diet of them won't hurt, but don't let the fact that u can stop u from offering other things too.
