Are there any known breeders in the US, or any people that have them for sale? I wish some more could be imported into to the US....:(

I found a breeder in the states, but he wants 5k per baby. If you want one as a pet, you're going to pay out a lot lol. I'd check out kingsnake and other sites to see if you can find one cheaper though. If you want to breed them good luck, everything I've read about them and talked to others about them say they only breed with the same shingle every year.

i saw one for 4k on there, it wasn't a baby though. The only way I would ever invest the money is if i could get a proven pair, but I could only afford if it i win the lottery or something. I wouldn't want to make a lot of money or anything, just pay off the initial investment.

Ya I don't plan on getting one fo awhile, but you have those dreams where you walk in a petstore and BAM there it is for $200 lol ya right!

Dreams do happen. Like when I walked into walmart and found a trilineated corydoras in with their usual aenus that was the best $5 I ever spent Tri's are $45-$75 if you know what you have.

I also got an adult Polypterus ornatipinnis for $25 I still have him too. My roomate says he looks like an underwater yellow Indo. That's my other baby Bastian.

There was a guy in Southern California that had at least one pair of shinglebacks. I'm not sure what the current status of them is though. Does anyone know what happened to Ivan's bunch?

Ok, I haven't been about for a while.... but, I think this calls for a bit of a tease....
...did I ever tell you that I have four shinglebacks, collectively costing less than aus $100????
Oh, and I can pick them up and cuddle them any time I like in the wild, tickle their tummies and pull off their ticks, kiss their cute button noses and gently squish their adorable fat, stumpy tails before letting them wander on their way.....
I really can't remember, did I ever tell you that??? He he he!!!
I'm sorry, I really feel for you all, I really do... I wouldn't be without my sleepies!
