Uhh i think Lil is trying to root Vic. Vics tail is waving about like crazy and lil just grabbed a hold on vics head. I've never seen a blueys crap everywhere once a hold is put on - which is what happened when lance was trying to grab hold of vic on the side and now when lil is trying to grab a hold. Is that normal? Or is Vic literally crapping herself in fear?
Yes i called vic a HER due to this behavior.
Lil aint being overly violent - just following vic everywhere and having a crack at getting a hold everynow and then. I'm taking video - so I'll show you guys soon.

I'm a noob, so my input wouldn't be too valuable. But that is pretty interesting. If I saw that behavior I would think it was mating related also.

In regards to the poop issue - There is an Unbelievable amount of poop coming out of vic - I reckon it's almost the size of that in which a cat would do (all up).
Oh - and I'm watching lil bite - and he's leaving no marks on vic - and if there are marks - i can't see them.

mating in Victoria in June?.... I doubt it.
maybe you have a territorial dispute.
also I haven't seen an amorous male bluey grab a female by the head.
He is more interested in the other end and will approach her from the side sniffing at her vent, then will try to grab hold on her shoulder region or lower on the body.
BTW... late Sept - Nov is the normal breeding season for low-land blotchies.

yeah i know when they are supposed to mate, and all of the males i've put with vic do the same thing. They do sniff around the vent! They show ALL signs of breeding behaviour - and it's not all that unlikely for them to breed now - especially when they are kept inside. - Lil has attempted to breed this time of year a few times - so that theory (atleast with LIL) is out the window.
Lil has ALWAYS grabbed by the head - everytime he's tried to get a body hold - he can never do it - so i think he goes for the head cuz it's a smaller area.
