Are these fuzzies okay?

I give Harley fuzzies as treat once in a while. I opened my latest batch and they look funny. Small and dark. Usually they fill their whole little slots in the container and I just wanted to make sure nobody thought they looked too weird before I gave Harley the one am thawing. First, is the mice pic.....

This pic is what I think looks like a sperm plug. Harley look very well-endowed in the back leg area.

Great pics! Love the one of Harley with his little buddy! Did he shake his head to get it off? It's worse when they lose a snail because they get snail snot all over them.

Wow, your mousies come in little individual containers huh. Ours just come in little zip lock plastic coin bags. They look about the same but. I think you just might've got a little ripped off for your money.

Oh, I recently had some that looked like that. It actually happened because I'd accidently let them thaw then re-froze them. They got funny looking, and when I re-thawed them they smelled really bad and were really messy. Cow loved them though. Maybe yours have the same problem.

Actually, Fatal_S, I guess these may have thawed at one time because my new place has frequent power outages.

I put the pinkie in and Harley is ignoring it. He is also ignoring the latest roaches that I give him. He's getting so picky, I don't know what his issue is.

But, I'd like to hear opinions about the supposed sperm plug.

If you wanna feed the pinkie - don't feed him for 3 or 4 days - then he'll snap it up - realize how good it is - and take them most of the time. all my blueys love pinkies - but some still ignore them from time to time.

not sure about skinks, but i wouldn't feed my pac-man frog (very wimpy animal... always something almost wrong with her) refrozen pinkies/rethawed/or smelly pinkies. in fact, i only leave them in the cage for about 2 hours. if she doesn't eat it, it's trash.

i have a feeling that skinks have stronger digestive systems, but i'm ot taking a chance with the frog.

so, why not a live pinkie... or a hopper? bet that'd be fun to watch!

I can't believe that I missed Harley's birthday.
What kind of crappy skink Mommy am I? I've been looking at my calendar all month waiting for it to come. Then it was gone!

I wouldn't worry too much about the pinkies. They usually look like that when I buy them from the pet store.

lol. that's great. first time i put one in with my frog, she mounted it. i guess it was a show of dominance. after she realized it osed no threat, she burrowed up and went to sleep... for 4 days.
