Holy Smokes....Pearl is giving birth now.....

These animals were both a risk considering we were told that one wouldn't have babies, and the other one only had one (because we wanted to breed Northerns!) So far, I can't believe the luck we're having....both have given perfect births so far without even being cycled.
GO PEARL! She's had two so far!
These babies should be LIGHT!

4 so far!
Both Northerns are much more protective of the babies than the IJ's....which is unusual because BTS aren't "motherly" -- I think it's just natural reaction to protect them while they're vulnerable.
This is crazy, we've definitely solved whether Niko's hemipenes fell off or not now...
There was also a lot of blood breeding these two -- some of you probably remember the pictures. Still not sure what that was -- happened about once every 3 copulations with both animals.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were another in the morning...she had them throughout many hours....
