BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

I was talking diets with my mum the other day, she said about the atkins diet{all meat}it works because your stomach produces certain acids for certain foods, with apes they're omnivors so they produce different acids for plant or meat, they only eat meat or greens never the two together, we do the same[ACID THAT IS], so the real question is should we feed our blueys meat only and greens only meals ? what do you all think?

So what your saying is should we only feed meat one day and veggies the next? Honestly it sounds interesting but I dont think its nessesary, I doubt BTS in the wild have the luxary of choosing what they would like to eat that day. They just eat what ever they come along.

I'm going to take the Edward stance on this; "Nautre knows best." However we can sensibly mimic what and how they should eat naturally is probably the best solution. There's a reason why they survive so well in the wild, so I say, take their lead.

Nah mate, not me. Well...not for a good few years anyway

I don't think it matters, I love pineapple on my pizza, a gherkin or cucumber with my spag bol, I like the heck cooked out of my steak, I probably only eat about 5 vegetables a year and I gain all the liquid I need from rum or a good pint. And my acids work quite well .... most of the time

The atkins diet is a bit extreme. Our ancestors were ape like animals, not modern day apes.

...and no, that isn't a theory on skinks be decended from apes, either.
