I know that you are supposed to feed bts's a couple time a week as adults and everyday as babies.. but how much should i feed them?should i dont have a bts yet.. this is just for future reference... but should i just feed him/her a little more than i think he/she can eat and then just take out wats left?

The caresheet will cover this question nicely. It's a great future reference if you're planning on having a bluey someday.

To reiterate a little, just feed the babies daily a standard jarlid sized portion. If they begin getting stocky fairly quickly, go every other day.

Lol, and here is the so called "jar lid" again.

Standard jar is pretty self explanatory I think. I think everyone knows "standard jar lid size" does not mean a garbage can lid size, dinner plate size, or pepsi cap size. Standard size jar -- like a jar of pickles.

So, someone who eats pickled olives that has a much smaller jar lid will be confused then?

How about, "For a baby, feed roughly one ounce of 60% protein and 40% vegetable matter every day." Or something to that order.

Or how about a daily "spoonful" will be sufficient?

Oh wait, what SIZE spoon? A standard spoon is much too ambiguous....they could mean a spoon the size of a park slide, or a spoon that only holds .0000001 milicopules....

 :jawdrop:

:hehe:

By the way K, get your sorry butt to Oregon -- I'm sure you're anxious to see two zachs on a wakeboard.... :spot:

Kind of like measuring how much of a dork you are... dorky ambiguity is the most obscure of all, you know. :slap:

...and no, Oregon is out this year, homey. Sorry.

Yes he does, but when he gets off his lazy duff and gets the job to fly us out there will he realize his dreams... :)

this has been in my mind far too long, who wrote the care sheet?

I think Zachariah actually typed it, but it was a compilation of some of the most experiened BTS keepers who were an integral part of the site, like James Wilson, Edward and Johan and Stingray and Tiliquagirl, and a bunch of other original membersl and most of the wonderful nutritional information came from Tiger.

I think I have some video clips in there too! :D

The caresheet is a "living," resource. It hopefully will not ever be a final draft, since we're the ones discovering new things all the time about them as pets.

Always with the hemipenes!! Do you have a folder of special hemi shots, in addition to your leg shots folder? :hehe:
Actually, don't answer that, or provide any further details on what other pics you keep, or why you keep them ..... or how often to you go through them all .... :hehe:
