BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

Hello, this isnt bad news, just an obsevation and im curious as to why.

Recently my eastern, Yoshi, has been coming out and just watching what goes on in the room. he never used to come out as much but now he just comes out and watches things...

i also got a vid of him "watching" TV and he had been doing it for an hour or so. ill try upload it to youtube!


Anyways, what could be the reason of this? i have had him for 3 months so he would have been settled in long before now wouldnt he? could it be seasonal and he's looking for a she? (or she looking for a he? i havent had him/her sexed yet. )



i recently got a snake and a puppy, i would love to think he just feels jealous but dw i know they don't have "personality"

Well my 2 Easterns are also acting strangly lately. They'd always watch me while i study on my desk or watch me while im on the bed talking on the phone.

They also dont come out as much.
Well maybe once or twice a day, but some days they dont come out at all

I'd say this is all due to weather changes...
Where in winter now so it is pretty cold.

I still have my lights on in My blueys enclosures for the right amount of hours so they probably just want to stay in there cave the whole day, all warm cosy

heh, yeah puppies are cute! she's a little maltese x. my snake is a stimsons python that i got from the city.

I think jealousy is a bit beyond what blueys are capable of, but simple observation and curiosity is definately something they master when they feel like it or are comfortable.

maybe shes just bored of her tank, maybe she just wants to see more other than her same old cage, how about rearranging her cage, just guessing.

lol funda i went to gladstone views and then gladstone park secondary.


i get my reptiles from upmarket pets in the city but i did get my terrarium from living jungle!

Well, I would definitely disagree with that! All 10 of mine have completely different personalities....

I'm going to have to second that. I've met very few other blueys, but I've had enough animals to get clues on likes, dislikes, good days, bad days, interest, disinterest, liking some people and not others... all base indicators of personalities.

My 8 blueys are all very different and have their on likes and dislikes.

You're calling mine weird when you have Stella!

i agree they have personalities but not in the way most people think (thats why i said they dont have PERSONalities)


i think a better word for it is character. each one has their own characteristics which make them unique, some are kind some are plain rude and bite all the time
