As you all know now i have two skinks, Eragon and Saphia, there both 'supposed' to be Easterns.
While Eragon looks like an Eastern Saphia does not.
Im not sure what she is, she has a bit of eastern on her but not sure if shes pure eastern like eragon.

Here are some pictures to help you, help me to figure this problem out

Saphia is the orange looking one

I am really confused because when i purchased her she was what looked like a pure eastern, but then after her first few sheds she became a orangy colour. Now im thinking twice about her breed :?

Oh and heres a picture of her, just thought it looked cute!

Hope you guys can help me identify her!

WOW!

That is very, very interesting. In the second picture, it almost looks like she was skinned on the top! Just a perfect color change with no diffusion. On the 2nd picture again the head and lower half look 100% typical Eastern, and the top almost jumps to a Centralian coloration. I'm tempted to say this is some kind of mutation.

Very intersting, Funa, thanks for sharing.

I know! Its so interesting with all the colours she has.
Shes like one blue tongue with all diferent skink features on her...
Much like a 'all in one' !

By the way its Funda, not Funa...
If my name is difficult to remember just call me Fiona. ;)
Thats my aussie name, not my wog name

Saphia is just beautiful. Geez. I'd really like to think she's 100% Eastern. I see Zach's point about a Centralian look, but if this is so, I think quiet a few generations back. There's certainly not the Centralian body shape, her shape is ALL Eastern, if you ask me. Plus the "fade to black," from body to tail, as (originally?) noted by Andrew is really striking.

I just love her. Watch out Jubby...

Oh no, I'm not saying she's Centralian at all -- just the coloring resembles it. She's 100% Eastern as far as I can see. Just a very unique one.

She is turning pretty, wonder how she's gonna look in time huh.
And btw saying wog on here probably won't make sense to americans, i said it to my american friends and they were like umm what the hell is a wog, lol.
I could be wrong though...maybe they do know!

Wog was originally used in Australia as a slang term for illnesses such as colds, the flu or malaria.

Is that right? I found it on a website

Zach, it's possible there's a distant centralian gene in that particular Eastern, though. Maybe a few family members had some "Jungle Fever," and liked 'em chunky and dark-eyed a while back.

Hahaha yeah it does mean that.
But as kris mentioned its a slang word meaning "non pure aussie"
For example; Itailian, lebanese, greek, turkish (being me :P) etc.

Chiefly British Offensive Slang.

Used as a disparaging term for a person of color, especially a person from northern Africa or western or southern Asia.

Correct, its an old un-pc name for a black person, it came from Robinsons jam and marmalade, they useed "The Golly Wog" on the label, and from a kids story book" Noddy", we cant use it here as its deemed very racist. I'm glad you can see at just a nick name , there's tooooo many people on politically correct band wagon, it does my head in, good on ya
