First time out on the grass

I took Sammy outside today. Boy was it hot!

But, of course, she liked it that way I'm sure. I bought a little play yard at Petsmart for her to walk around in outside. I think I'm going to buy like 4 more and make the enclosure bigger for her.
Check out my gallery for some pic's of her with my kids. My youngest little boy still won't hold her so he's not in them. Which is just as well. One less thing I have to worry about...

She looks so sweet and calm. Cool idea with the play yard thing. I'd steal that idea if I actually had a yard.
I took mine to the park for the second time this past weekend. It was like 90 degrees out and he wasn't into it at all. He'd find my shadow and just sit in it!

Thanks! I got the idea about the play yard from this forum. I was about to build one myself when someone mentioned I could get one at Petsmart or Target for less than 20 bucks. Since I had a credit for returning a light hood at Petsmart, I went ahead and got one.
Sammy really is very sweet. I'm so glad I "found" her. She has fit right into my life so easily...

I know, I wish we lived closer, too.

It's funny how their attitude changes even if just 10 minutes are spent outside.

I love getting my guys outside. I was a little worried that it would make Cordy a little wilder but because I have to handle her inorder to take her out she's calmed down a lot!!! I do find that they have tons more energy while outside and when I bring them back in.

I noticed she was a little antsy as I brought her back inside. She was "panting". Not really hissing just panting and trying to get back to the grass I think. Much more active. Like she got a burst of enthusiasm!
When I put her back in her tank she went right to sleep and I never saw her again the rest of the day. I think she was mad at me for bringing her in too soon!

This was mentioned in another thread. Easterns don't get as big as northerns and seem to grow at a slower rate.
