BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

Well, we already have a thread on here about weight so I figured I'd inquire as to the length of your BTS!

My almost 2 month old is 7 inches long (but she is the runt of the litter). Her brothers and sisters are around 10 inches already according to Zach!

How long (in inches) was your BTS at 2 months (if you got him that early) and how long is he now?

It will be fun hearing how fast/slow everyone's pets have grown.

when i got mine he was 8 inches, now hes 15

Rollie was about 11" when Ray shipped him to me June before last and now sits a hair under 17".

My 5 month old is 6 inches.

Let's see if I can remember everyone!

Frankie- She came to me as an adult so I have no clue of her length as a little one but at 6 years old, she's about 20 1/2 inches.

Spike- He's one of Ray's 04 babies and came to live with me at about 3 months. He was about 12 inches. He's know a little bit more the 22 inches.

Baylee came next. He's also an '04 baby but is a month or so younger then Spike. I picked him up from Greg at about 5 months. He was about 12 inches. He is know about 21 1/2 inches. Almost as big as Spike, but you wouldn't know it because so much of his length is tail.

Saphira is one of Ray's '05 easterns. I got her when she was just a month old and she fit in the palm of my hand. So I think at about 2 months she was around 5 inches. She definetly grew slower then Spike. Know she is just under 18 inches. Without the bulk of the northerns she seems much smaller.
She's a little bit older in this picture but I don't have her baby pictures on my computer.


Stella came to me as an adult as well. He's my oldest skink, probably about 10 years old and is about 18 inches. He looks bigger then Saphira because he has a huge head.


Christopher is one of Ray's '06 northerns. He is Spike's nephew. He came home with me at about 3 months. At that point he was about 9 inches. I haven't measured him this summer but he was 18 inches at the end of the school year.


Cordy- She also came to me as an adult. I think she's about 19 inches but she's missing part of her tail. Body length she's about the same sizce as Baylee.

This was back before she liked me.

Bad Bad mommy! I forgot Izzy!!! Judging by her size and the time of year, I think Izzy was about 6 months when I got her. I don't have lengths on her because of all my skinks, she's my look at vs play with. She's calm enought that I can take her out and check her nails and stuff but she doesn't like to be measured and weighed.

Oh Jenn! Loved all the pictures of your crew! It's so fun to see the different types and compare their sizes.
Pele' is 20" at one year and Charlotte is 9" (and you know how old she is!)
They are both Northerns.

Thanks! I've realized that there are a bunch of new people who haven't seen a lot of my pictures so I could repeat them. Also my computer doesn't have a space for my memory card and I can't find the wire that attachs my camera to the computer so I can't upload any new pictures. I have to find it though because I have a bunch of new ones to post!

Im wondering if my boy will ever make it that size seeing he's so small at the moment.

My IJ Rex, came to me as an adult, he is 21 inches.

Vanilla, my northern, I got as a baby from Ray in 04'.
At the time he was about 11', now he is 23 1/2 inches.

My Tanimbar, Raptor, was about 6 inches when I got him in 05'.
He is now about 14 inches

My other two are wild caught, and were adults when I got them.
I love them, but besides checking toes for stuck shed, and cuddle/hiss time(I cuddle, while they huff and hiss ) ...I pretty much leave them alone.

Estimates on them are Olive, merauke, 23.

Wow! Boris is only 6 months old and he's over a foot long?

I was looking at Sammy today and I swear her head looks bigger than it was just last week!

Skinkysmom, You have a nice little brood going there!

I think Chuff Chuff is about 20 or 21 inches, including his long kinked up tail. Keep in mind, I'm 5' tall even, and Chuff's about as long as my torso, if I had him stretched out next to me. he might even be a little longer!

Don't worry about him being small...my 5 month old Eastern is 7 inches long but i hear his is fine, just a little guy thats all.
