Hey there guys!!! Our computer went Belly-up in April I guess (I did not realize it had been so long)!!!! We just got a new computer last week and this is my first stop on the information highway. (The kids, suffering complete computer withdrawal, have been on it day and night so Mom had to pop in when she could.) We did not get a new computer right away because we have been gone most of the summer. My mom had another round of breast cancer so I spent all of May and June with her. July was a blur as I worked my butt off (It's a wonder I still have a job at all) The hospital (usually not so busy during July and August) was a mad house. I have also been working second shift at the Animal Emergency Center as they are always short a vet tech or three so my weekends have been there. We are getting ready to head to my parents house on Thursday for the rest of August until school starts. My mom is doing really well now and we arehoping to have a semi-vacation at Gold Beach in Oregon. We will be in Crescent City and Gold Beach for a week and then back across the state to Alturas, CA where my mom and dad live.....Anyhoo,
now the good stuff, skink report!!!!!
My camera is out of batteries BUT I am getting some in a few moments when I run up to the store for milk so I will post Maggie Moe Dee and Tito Burrito pictures today!! Maggie is SO BIG and just shed so her color are bright orange and "creamsicley" We are preparing both skinkies for the BIG move across country to North Carolina next March. Since we are saving and planning for this HUGE move AND getting out of the military, alas there will be no trips to Australia this year. That was a big bummer and a disappointment BUT Tim has promised that next year we will be going no matter what.
Tito scared me the other day. He is normally a BEAUTIFUL rich orangy, coppery, brown and black Irian Jaya/ Northern mix but I had not seen him for a couple of days and I went to feed him and he came out looking like a ghost!!! He was SO PALE that he had NO COLOR at all and I freaked out. Ran him to the vet who told me what I should have known all along, that he was merely going into shed and some skinks as they get older tend to "wash out" more when they are getting ready to shed. I wish I had taken a picture for you before he started to shed yesterday because it was like nothing I hae EVER seen. He was almost transluscent, ver ghostly!!!! BOO!!! Had enough Halloween already!!!
Itwas so exciting to come back and see the site literally "crawling" with babies!!! I can't wait to see Maggie Moe's brothers and sisters. We were looking at her baby pics this morning and comparing them with her pattern and coloring now at over a year later. Wow, she has changed alot!!!
It's great to be back and I hope that I will be popping back in daily again.....Take care and I missed you all!!!!
