thats my female alpine zach, ive had her for 12 years now and she was that size when i got her so shes probably pretty old,the avatar pic of mine is one of her babies from this year, well last seasons, but born this year, she was out basking for the first time yesterday since entering hibernation, didnt see her today but theres a couple out, wont be long till most of them start making an appearance,i cant wait to feed them,2 of the girls that had young last season didnt put much condition back on before starting hibernation,so need to fatten them up,they wont produce this season, well they like to take a year off between litters as a rule, but some dont listen to thet theory

hi leigh, yeah the pile of lizards did spend the winter there, that lot are actually under a water fall fountain thingy laying upside down,a few cunningham skinks also were in there but they took off when i lifted the cover, there the only ones that r hibernating under something in the pics, probably half my blotcheds choose to curl up in the open to hibernate
