New Here!

Postby eloc » Wed Aug 15, 2007 8:24 pm

Hi Everyone.
I just registered but have been stalking the site and reading everything on it for about a month.
My son and I are on the journey to becoming BTS owners.
We became interested in them awhile back when looking at the lizards awhile back at a pet store. Unfortunately, the worker at the pet store new nothing about them and could not really answer any of our questions. Thus our quest to learn everything we could about them. We found this site through searching for information about them on the web and have been hooked ever since. My son printed out all of the care sheets and has them in a binder and reads them all to his little brother every night before bed, I think he has most parts memorized!

We are feeling pretty confident in our knowledge about the BTS so we are ready to continue the journey and actually get one. That is where I am hoping someone on here can help me find a healthy, happy BTS who will be very well loved and cared for.

Are the ones listed in the sales portion of this site still available?? (I tried emailing Zach a couple times to ask if he still had some available but my ISP is continually having lots of problems so I am guessing he did not get them that is why I haven't heard back). Zach, do you have any available?? Does anyone else??

Thanks in advance for any help!

Wow, this seems strangely familiar, except from the opposite side of where I usually am about the pet store. Of course I'm not the clueless pet store worker that you unfortunately had to experience...

I too am considering one. Welcome :D

:btsnet2: Thats awesome that he reads it to his brother at night. I am pretty sure that if it says they are available, they are.

I think there are a couple Sassy/Slurpy Irian Jaya babies available.. and if you got one, you'd be getting a sibling of the two I am getting!!

Zach told me he was going to post the pictures of them this week, and let us pick out which ones we want. I am soooooo ready for this.

I am a teacher as well, Jenn....but I teach high school!

My son will be in third grade and this process has been such a great learning experience for him. I can't tell you how many hours he has spent on this site reading. He is now making lists of everything we need to get. He has all the care sheets in a binder sectioned off in topics which he takes with him whenever we get in the car so he can read on the way and he reads it to his little brother at night before bed. So this summer he has gotten all of his reading and writing practice in our BTS journey. The other cool thing is he has saved and is using all of his own money to buy one. My dad is a retired and quite the carptener so he even has his grandpa on board making him the house as an early Christmas present.
